The socialization of Regional Head Election (pemilukada) held in 31 urban villages in North Jakarta and other places such as motorcycle taxi, market, station, public transport and terminal. It is aimed to give information related with pemilukada to all Jakarta residents who do not know the schedule and voting procedure in pemilukada.

Chief of Tanjungpriok Poll Station Committees (PPS) Supriyanto said that the way of socialization is by distributing pemilukada stickers in 5 motives. “By so, the residents can know the time of pemilukada implementation,” he stated, Monday (3/26).

In this socialization, 15 personnel of Tanjungpriok PPS, Sungaibambu PPS and Satpol PP were deployed to invite resident to refrain from golput (abstaining from the vote) in pemilukada. It will be held until on July 11. “Hopefully, North Jakarta residents can know pemilukada schedule and ready to vote,” expressed Supriyanto.

Sukardi, (48), driver of motorcycle taxi at Tanjungpriok Terminal said that this socialization is very useful due to previously he did not know about pemilukada schedule. “I’ll vote in the upcoming pemilukada,” he stated.
