Built in the early 19th century, an original shop building in Pasar Baru and is part of the oldest shopping centers in Jakarta, with a row of Chinese and European architectural style shops. Pasar Baru was founded in 1821. It was named so because at the time there were several markets that had already been built in Batavia namely Pasar Senen, Pasar Tanah Abang and Pasar Jatinegara. The "Passer Baroe" area was formerly known as an elite district because it was located not far from the Rijswijk area (Jl. Veterans) that was built by the Dutch Government as a residential area for Europeans in Batavia. This three-storey building has a façade that is divided into three parts, with the entrance located at the center and is flanked by windows. On the second floor there is a balcony which also serves as a canopy for the floor below. On the third floor, the building was extended back slightly so that the floor has a terrace.
