The Government History of The Jakarta City Administration

  • In the 14th century the name was Sunda Kelapa as the port of the Padjajaran Kingdom.
  • 22 June 1527 Fatahilah changed the name into Jayakarta (the date was determined as the Jakarta anniversary based on the temporary City Council Decree, no. 6/D/K/1956) ·
  • 4 March 1621 for the first time the Dutch colonilaist formed the city government called Stad Batavia.
  • 1 April 1905 the name changed into Gemeente Batavia . 8 January 1935 became Stad Gemeente Batavia.
  • 8 Agustus 1942 the Japanese colonialist changed it into Jakarta Toko Betsu Shi.
  • September 1945 Jakarta became the National Government Jakarta city, changed by the city government.
  • 20 February 1950 in the administration of Pre Federal became Stad Gemeente Batavia.
  • 24 March 1950 changed into the Municipal city of Jakarta . · 18 January 1958 the Jakarta status as the Region of swatantra called the Municipal city of a arta .aya.
  • 1961 with the Government Regulation (PP) No. 2, 1961 jo Law (UU) No. 2 PNPS 1961 was formed the Great Jakarta City Administration.
  • 31 August 1964 based on the Law (UU) No. 10, 1964, was stated that the Great Jakarta City Administration was still the capital city of the Republic of Indonesia, with its name Jakarta.
